Production:

Made from 100% Macabeu grapes with some residual sugar. It has been fermented in 225-litre oak barrels and aged in the same barrels on its lees until the spring.

Tasting Notes:

This is a slightly sweet and smooth wine with a great structure and good acidity, fresh with pleasant aromas of white fruits and floral notes.

Notes: To be enjoyed over the next 2–3 years.

 

L’Olivera is a social integration cooperative, whose members are people with difficulties and disabilities who participate actively throughout the entire process. The project started in 1974 in the village of Vallbona de les Monges in the south of the province of Lleida, a place well known for the presence of the oldest Cistercian convent in Catalonia. The vineyards are part of the Denomination of Origin Costers del Segre's Valls del Riu Corb Subzone. They cultivate the vineyards through manual labour, almost in the traditional manner. They practice organic farming, and the vineyards have received full certification.
