El Raig Verd is an orange, ecologic, and natural artisanal wine, a blend where the protagonist is the Malvasía, with a smaller proportion of Macabeu. Grapes sourced from organically farmed vineyards planted in El Pla del Penedè in the early 1990s. 

Vinified with minimum intervention. Manual harvest, maceration of 50% destemmed, foot trodden. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks (Malvasía) and in a stone "cup" (Macabeu).

The wine spends 7 months in stainless steel tanks. Bottled unfined and unfiltered and with no sulfites added. SO2: <10 mg/l.

Tasting Notes:

Orange Natural wine, fresh and aromatic, with a stone white fruit-scented nose and citrus notes. Fresh, fruity, and mineral on the palate, with a light saline finish.

THE PROJECT

Toni Carbó, the winemaker linked to Mas Candí, launched in 2011 together with his wife, Anna Serra, their own personal project, always faithful to their way of understanding viticulture. They are part of a new generation of artisan vignerons, producers of natural wines who seek the most authentic and honest expression of the terroir and work with the utmost respect for the environment.

La Salada is the name of their project, as well as the name of the farmhouse where both his grandfather and great-grandfather worked quite hard all their lives, a homage to both of them as lifelong winegrowers. Toni has taken over the family's vineyards, vines that have never seen any chemicals, and he continues to work organically. He cultivates the vineyard in the most natural way possible: harvesting by hand, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, ageing taking place in stainless steel vats and amphorae, never adding sulphur. At the Bodega La Salada, Toni has developed a range of natural wines, all of which are honest, unique wines with a marked Mediterranean character.
