La Bauma is a white wine made by Vega Aixalà, sourced from their own high-altitude vineyards, growing on poor slate hillsides between 800 and 900 metres above sea level, up the hills of Prades in the small village of Vilanova de Prades.

The grapes growing at high altitudes are noted for their higher natural acidity content, which benefits the production of a wine of much higher quality that exhibits amazing depth, concentration, and complexity, qualities that contribute to its unique personality and give them a remarkable capacity for ageing.

The wines are produced in a traditional way, small production and practicing a viticulture with highly respect to the environment, following the rules of organic viticulture, both in the vineyard and in the winery, and the lunar phase calendar.

Production: 

The wine has fermented in concrete tank. No aging.

Tasting Notes: 

Bright yellow color. Fresh and aromatic, tropical aromas, citrus and white flowers. On the palate shows freshness, and good aromatic intensity.
