Picarana is the white wine from Bodega Marañones, the Pueblo white wine, a village wine made from the almost extinct Albillo Real, a white variety native to the Sierra de Gredos, especially to the warmest villages.

Grapes from an organic vineyard at the foothills of the Sierra de Gredos, in San Martín de Valdeiglesias. Sourced from a combination of plots with different orientations and characteristics, types of granite soils, and altitude between 650 and 810 meters.

Hand harvested, pneumatic press, natural racking, and fermentation with its lees in used French oak barrels.

Ageing for 10 months in 500 and 700-liter French oak barrels.

Tasting notes:

Golden yellow in color; aromas of white flowers and stone fruit. The palate is broad and unctuous, tasty and juicy with intensity and good structure.
