For the Blanc de Picapolls, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected; the Picapoll Blanc comes from Finca Simulacre and the black Picapoll from Finca Margenal, both vineyards are properties of the winery with an average age of 19 years and are organically farmed on clay and loam soils. The red grapes are produced as “blanc de noirs.”

Fermented partially in French oak and acacia. Six-month ageing of 6 months with its lees.

Tasting Notes: Good complexity, aromatic on the nose, displaying aromas of white fruit like pears and lychees. With the right level of acidity, a creamy texture, and good volume,finishing fresh and fruity.

THE WINERY

Heretat Oller del Mas is proud to have 1000 years of a unique history behind it, an estate surrounding a mediaeval castle dating back to the 10th century and comprising 600 hectares of cultivated land and woodland, of which 60 ha are under vines, part of the Pla de Bages Denomination of Origin, a privileged area surrounded by the Montserrat Mountains and the natural park of Sant Llorenç de Munt and Obac. Currently, the Margenat family is in charge of preserving the history they inherited and working according to the new times. At Oller del Mas, the wines are produced organically and have been certified by the Catalan Council for Ecological Agrarian Production (CCPAE).
