Distilled  at the Cragganmore distillery in Speyside, Scotland. It was founded in 1869 by John Smith, who is said to be the most experienced distiller of his days. it was deliberately sited to take advantage of the railway line and was the first to use this means of transport for the traffic of its goods. It produces a complex, highly prized single malt whisky with a sweet floral fragrance on the nose and hints of sweet wood smoke and sandalwood on the palate.

Cragganmore is the Speyside malt in the group of the "six Classic Malts".
