Production: Made from 100% Black Grenache vines of 35 years of age and sourced from their own vineyards. Aged 12 months in 225 lt. new French oak barrels, followed by another 3 months in bottle before its release.
The 2010 was the first vintage elaborated of Señora Carmen and was selected as the best red wine in The Vins de Catalunya Guide 2013.
THE WINERY
Vins del Tros is a small winery located in the historic village of Vilalba dels Arcs within the D.O. Terra Alta. This is a project that two longtime friends and wine enthusiasts, Joan Ramon Bada, an oenologist, and Josep Arrufat, a winegrower, just launched. When, in 2009, and with the support and encouragement of their own families, they began producing their own wines, their aim was to make wines that would preserve the varietal's typicity and highlight the true characteristics of their home region, Terra Alta.
All their wines are sourced from specific vineyards planted with the region’s traditional grape varieties and have an average age of 18 to 90 years.
