Victorino is a tribute to his grandfather and the intense bond of love and respect to his ancestors, to this land and its tinta de toro grape variety that marks the unique style of wines of great personality, great harmony, and balance.

It is a selection of different vineyards on property, planted at La Jara and El Palo (Toro), El Rosal and El Risco in Villabuena del Puente and in Valefinjas. A total of 35 hectares of vineyards ranging in age from 45 to 100 years.

Aged for 18 months in new French oak. The grapes were harvested by hand and carefully selected.

We recommend decanting this wine 2 hours ahead.

Tasting Notes:

Intense aromas of black fruits, plum, blackberry, spices, and mineral notes are very much present. Seductive ripe dark cherry nose with a touch of spice. It is very expressive and dense. Finishing long and elegant with silky but firm tannins.

Teso La Monja marks the beginning of a new era for the Eguren family in the D.O. Toro, a land that enchanted them with its pre-phylloxera vines and deep-rooted vineyards. The Bodega elaborates wines that transmit not only the potential of the Tinta de Toro and the minerality of the soils but also the elegance, freshness, and finesse that are trademarks of all the Eguren family’s wines.

The Bodega owns 90 hectares of vineyards located in Valdefinjas, Toro, and Villabuena del Puente. The average vine age is about 50 years, with some of the vineyards reaching 130 years. They practice sustainable viticulture with great respect for nature and its surroundings, working with the plant’s cycles. Furthermore, they employ only organic fertilicer and natural products. Their aim is to obtain wines of the highest purity possible and to achieve the maximum expression of terroir.
