Besson is a single-estate wine sourced from over 60-year-old vines of Carinyena from the "Pineyard", an own-vineyard composed of old vines growing on very poor and dry soil on the slated steep slopes in the municipal district of Torroja del Priorat.

Production: 

The wine has fermented in open-stain steel vats and French oak barrels of 225-300 litres with an ageing period of 18 months. The vineyard has been organically farmed since 2007. Small production of 340 bottles.

The Bessons is part of the recently renamed winery as Coastal Wines, the personal project of Antoni Sanchez Ortiz and with his new partner, Behn Payten. Toni is in charge of this tiny but very interesting Project. He is a great professional in the wine business and fully committed to quality.

Antoni has a formidable curriculum when it comes to winemaking and brings his formidable experience and youthful passion to the making of this beautifully crafted wine.
