Bell Cross is a relatively young project initiated by a couple of Swedish entrepreneurs who were enamoured with the area and great enthusiasts of the wine culture. They began their journey towards their newfound passion for winemaking with this personal, fun-filled project named after the vineyards.

The recently built winery, a modern winery with the most advanced equipment possible to produce superior wines, is located in the middle of the vineyards on the outskirts of Marçà, near Falset in the Montsant DO. The Bell Cros estate consists of 25 hectares, of which 16 hectares are planted with vines.

The winery counts with one of Cataluña's top oenologists, Joan Asens of Orto Vins, a renowned oenologist with an extensive curriculum and a commemorated, award-winning winemaker.

Production:

Bell Cros El Camí is a blend of mainly Carinyena grapes from vines between 13 and 66 years old, growing on limestone and clay soils under the influence of the Mediterranean climate at an altitude of 225-290 metres above sea level.

The grapes were harvested by hand. Fermented in stainless steel tanks. 20% of the wine is aged in oak barrels for 6 months, and the other 80% is aged in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting Notes:

Rich, plummy nose and dark berry fruit, spicy and smoky with chocolate and cocoa flavors. On the palate, shows freshness, good acidity, marked tannins, and a pleasantly velvety texture.

Notes: With a great ability to age in bottle up to 8 years +

BODEGA DOSTERRAS

Small winery in the village of Marça, a small town inside the Denomination of Origin of Montsant. The winery was founded in 2013 after the current proprietor, Fernando Grajales, acquired the bodega together with the attached building, a rural house, from the previous owner and winemaker, Josep Grau, who was already making wines on the property.

With a new direction and ownership, this young project has been revived and has taken off with renewed vigor to produce a new line of unique and elegant wines of great diversity and quality. Wines that are selected from old vines between 40 and 100 years in age and sourced from their own plots located in different villages with different orientations and 5 different types of soil: clay, granite, sandy, calcareous, and the typical slate soil, locally known as llicorella.
