Production:  Continuing with the Celler’s philosophy of focusing on the elaboration of monovarietal wines from their main native regional grapes, they produce a Morenillo single-varietal wine made exclusively from 100% Morenillo which has been manual selected and gently destemmed into the stainless steel vats. Fermented at 25-28ºC during 16 - 18 days using autochthonous yeast followed by an ageing during 6 months in 450 liter Clay Amphoras. Limited production of 1724 Bottles.

Tasting notes:  Ripe berry fruit aromas, subtle spice and balsamic notes. Very pleasing, smooth and silky on the palate with intense ripe fruit, good balance of acidity and alcohol, finishing warm and long.

THE WINERY

Vins del Tros is a small winery located in the historic village of Vilalba dels Arcs within the D.O. Terra Alta. This is a project that two longtime friends and wine enthusiasts, Joan Ramon Bada, an oenologist, and Josep Arrufat, a winegrower, just launched. When, in 2009, and with the support and encouragement of their own families, they began producing their own wines, their aim was to make wines that would preserve the varietal's typicity and highlight the true characteristics of their home region, Terra Alta.

All their wines are sourced from specific vineyards planted with the region’s traditional grape varieties and have an average age of 18 to 90 years.
