Production: Lo Noir belongs to the range of wines under Alfredo Arribas’ latest project “El Mas de l’A”. A red wine that aims in obtaining the absolute finesse without renounce to the intensity, where tradition and unknown sensations meet in age blend. Limited production of Grenaches from old vines and Pinot noir from young vines. Destemmed grape by grape. Fermented in steel and barriques. Aged 15 months in 500 and 600-liter Bocois. Bottled unfiltered.

“El Mas de l’A” is undoubtedly clearly focused on the search of a different Priorat. A project based on the different Red and white Grenaches growing in the enclave of La Morera de Montsant, a valley located between the small towns of Cornudella and Poboleda, this region stands out for the ideal climatic conditions, a perfect balance between north and south with an altitude of 500 meters above sea level and a rich range of soils. Opting for sustainable agriculture and viticulture, co-planting as a rule and stimulating the virtues of the youngest vines. The result is a range of very fine wines, with a lower alcohol content and silky tannins. Wines with great potential and small productions.

Mas de L’A is Alfredo Arribas’ latest project within the DOQ Priorat. Since the early starts of this wine-making adventure in 2001 with his initial project of Clos del Portal in Priorat, Alfredo has moved on focused by his passion and concern in the search for new initiatives. He developed a recovery task of old vines in the neighboring DO Montsant “Trossos”, followed by the incorporation of a project based on a range of natural wines “Vins Nus”
