Masion Chapoutier is a leading producer and one of the largest landholders of Hermitage in the Northern Rhône, led by the winemaker Michel Chapoutier, the seventh generation in charge of this famous old firm founded in 1808, owning about 175 acres of vines in the Rhône Valley Apellations. Michel Chapoutier is an outspoken follower and defender of biodynamic/organic farming with a commitment of achieving always higher and higher, which reflects in the actual quality of their wines, which has risen dramatically in recent years, also a firm believer in the “monocepáge”, most of the red wines are made from 100% Syrah, the whites 100% Marsanne and the 100% Grenache for the Châteauneuf du Pape.
