Celler Bàrbara Forés, founded in 1889, is a small family operation and one of the most famous names in the region. Actually, it is run by Carmen Ferrer, the fifth generation, and her husband Manuel Sanmartín. Pili Sanmartín, their daughter, has recently joined the family business, bringing a fresh approach to her own line of wines.

Celler Bàrbara Forés is a family-owned winery that dates back to the 19th century. It is named for its original founder and winemaking, a pioneer of the 19th century, Bàrbara Forés (1825-1905), who, together with her son Rafael Ferrer, built the bodega and equipped it for bottling wine, which was something rare in that century.

Actually, the winery is in the hands of their descendant Carmen Ferrer and her husband Manuel Sanmartin. They who took control of it in 1994, restored it and made it work again. Later in 2019, their daughter Pili Sanmartín joined the family business, bringing with her a fresh approach that encorauges the dialogue of wine with the arts, which will be reflected in the new line of wines she produces.
