Celler Josep Vicens is a small family run operation in Gandesa, whose origins date back to the early days of the XIX century. The Vincen’s family, local winegrowers dedicated to selling wine in bulk, have passed on the operation to the current generation, who are committed to innovation, introducing new techniques, pioneers in the introduction of the Syrah variety in the area and elaborating good quality wines.

Their brand name “Vinyes del Grau” comes from the family’s oldest plantation called “El Grau”, where they grow mainly Syrah, used both in their young and aged wine. Their vineyards, extending over 17 hectares, are situated in the surroundings of Gandesa (Terra Alta); they are planted on diverse soils, although the main type is calcareous very low in organic matter.
