Celler Cal Pla is a small, family-run winery, dating back to 1814. It is located in the village of Porrera, a small village in the heart of the highly acclaimed wine region of Priorat. Cal Pla is the name of the family and the house, which gives the name to the wines. They can be proud of their more than 200-year history, that has seen various generations working hard, growing vines and making wines, to pass on the legacy to their descendants. Today, it is in the hands of the seventh generation, run successfully by Joan Sangenís, which is making an interesting range of wines, all produced from grapes grown in the family’s own vineyards and bottled in their cellar.
